Subliword
Speed Reading Made Simple
What is RSVP Speed Reading?
RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) is a scientifically-backed speed reading technique that displays words one at a time at a fixed focal point. Unlike traditional reading where your eyes move across the page, RSVP eliminates eye movement entirely, allowing your brain to process text significantly faster.
Research shows that a significant portion of reading time is spent on saccades (eye movements) rather than actual comprehension. By presenting words in sequence at a single point, RSVP can increase reading speed by 2-3 times while maintaining comprehension.

Tips for Getting Started
If you're new to RSVP reading, here are some tips:
- Start slow - Begin at 200-250 WPM and gradually increase
- Practice regularly - Short daily sessions are more effective than occasional long ones
- Don't subvocalize - Try not to "speak" the words in your head
- Stay relaxed - Tension can slow down comprehension
- Use familiar content - Start with material you're comfortable with before tackling complex texts
